Dubtec is a record label founded in 2024 by DJ and producer Brad Chapman — better known as Audio K9.

After more than a decade in the music scene, Brad launched Dubtec with a simple mission: to create an innovative, inclusive space within the house, dance and electronic music scene that puts new and emerging talent front and centre.

With a background that blends years of real-world experience with a degree in Electronic Music and Music Industry Business, Brad brings both passion and professionalism to the table. Inspired by leading labels and communities like Toolroom, Defected, and Solid Grooves, Dubtec is about building something fresh - a brand grounded in quality music, community, and collaboration.

Dubtec Records is a multi-genre electronic dance music label dedicated to showcasing forward-thinking underground sounds across several styles, including:

Tech House
Minimal
Deep Tech
Speed Garage

While many labels—particularly smaller independent imprints—focus on a single genre, Dubtec Records embraces a broader musical spectrum. Our approach is rooted in diversity and adaptability, reflecting the constantly evolving nature of the electronic music industry. That said, our core focus remains firmly on the underground side of these genres. At this stage, the goal of Dubtec Records is not mainstream recognition, but rather supporting authentic sounds, emerging artists, and music that resonates with the underground dance music community.

Dubtec Radio
Dubtec Radio paused live broadcasting in January 2026. This is a temporary decision while resources are focused on developing other areas of the Dubtec brand.

Although there is currently no confirmed return date, we are aiming for a Summer 2026 relaunch. The station is expected to return in a fully revamped format, with new ideas and improvements currently being explored.

Until a relaunch date is confirmed, applications for new resident DJs are closed.

Dubtec Events
Dubtec Events is currently in the early development and brainstorming phase, with future shows and concepts actively being planned for 2026 and beyond.
As part of its first collaborations, Dubtec Radio has partnered with T.E.C.H (The EDM Collaboration Hub) for an event taking place in Bristol on 1 May. While this event is organised by another promoter, it is presented in collaboration with Dubtec. You can find more details about this event here.

Looking ahead, Dubtec Events aims to launch its own shows on the South Coast of the United Kingdom, creating high-quality underground dance music experiences and providing regular opportunities for local and emerging talent.
We are also open to collaborating with brands, collectives, and promoters who share our creative vision and passion for electronic music culture.
